We believe that manners and discipline are a very important part of growing up. We encourage children with positive reinforcement and we teach by example. We use a 3 step approach to child discipline...(1)teach (2)remind (3)time-out. Time-out is used as sparingly as possible, as we feel it is important that each child participate in the day as much as possible. We are fortunate to have a WONDERFUL group of children, and with adult directed activities, a SUPERB child/adult ratio and lots of positive reinforcement, we RARELY NEED to use time-out.
Philosophy On Teaching
We encourage each child to experiment with the world around them. We foster creativity and learning with music & movement, story-time, group projects, arts & crafts, free choice, rocking chair cuddles and more!
Philosophy On Toilet-Training
No pressure! We do not impose an age limit on toilet training. Each child is individual in their needs and development. We encourage toilet training with positive reinforcement, frequent bathroom breaks, and we support the methods being used in the child's own home. Whatever it is, we can help!
